Why Aren’t You Blogging?
If DiggsDesign built your website, it’s most likely equipped with a blog. That’s great, right? You can show off your knowledge and expertise! Well, it’s great if you’re using it, and not so great if you aren’t. Nothing’s worse than a client visiting your blog and not seeing anything new posted in over a year. If you’re looking for an organic, cost-effective way to bring more visitors to your site, then start writing and you’ll immediately add value to your website. Not only will it help your SEO (search engine optimization), but it’ll show your customers that you really know what you’re talking about.
Many get anxious by the thought of sitting down to write a blog. Psst… it doesn’t have to be a novel. Use your own style. If you’re a fun person, make it fun. If you’re technical, make it technical. Don’t try to be something you’re not. Write from the heart, try to make it educational and publish that update! It also doesn’t hurt to use some good keywords from your industry. What’s that? You need some ideas? Ok, how about sounding off about something new that’s happened in your field of work recently. What do you think about it, and more importantly, what do your clients need to know about it? Or, write a case study about you helped a client. What was their situation before coming to you? What kind of solution did you provide, and how did it help them? This not only reinforces your brand, but adds some nice search engine-friendly content to your website. Feeling really confident? Make a video on YouTube and blog about that!
Posting blogs puts new content out onto the web and shows Google your website isn’t stagnant. By regularly producing new content that’s compelling to your audience, you’re not only building your SEO-power, you’re showing your expertise and building trust with potential new clients who are browsing your website, doing their due diligence on you!
So… Why aren’t you blogging?
